The IEEE International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Emerging Technologies (ICEEET 2026) will be held for the first time from 17th to 18th October 2026 at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya, in collaboration with NED University of Engineering and Technology, India.

The University of Peradeniya (UOP), in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM), has officially launched a student exchange program aimed at strengthening academic ties and fostering international research exposure for undergraduate students.

A new degree program, the BScEng Honours in Electronic and Intelligent Systems Engineering, from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Peradeniya will be available to students starting from GCE (A/L) 2025 onwards.
