The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya is the First Department in the country covering the particular area of specialization. It takes pride in its current academic staff including 23 Ph.D holders, qualified at prestigious universities around the world. In addition to teaching and research, they also carry out various administration duties at the Faculty, University, National and International levels. Two of them are ranked among the top 2% scientists in the world.

The Career Fair 2024 took place on June 28th at Bay 7, TRACE Expert City, Colombo 10 from 8:00 am onwards. The fair was organized by the DEEE, EEES, and IEEE Student Branch of UOP in collaboration with several top companies in Sri Lanka.
