Congratulations to Praveen Sumanasekara, a talented undergraduate from DEEE, for securing a spot in this year's "Seeds for the Future program" by Huawei.

Huawei officially launched the 9th edition of its flagship corporate social responsibility initiative, Seeds for the Future, in Sri Lanka on August 30th at Shangri-La Hotel. The event was attended by distinguished guests, including representatives from the Ministry of Education, the Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka, the University Grants Commission, University deans, and heads of departments.

This year’s Seeds for the Future awardees include top talents from various universities, and the program will provide an intense 8-day training session in China, covering cutting-edge ICT technologies and scientific and technological leadership. Launched in Thailand in 2008 and introduced in Sri Lanka in 2016, the Seeds for the Future program has expanded to 139 countries and regions worldwide, attracting over 15,000 students and significantly contributing to the development of future ICT leaders.
