In light of the current circumstances in the country, we would like to inform you that the IEEE 19th International Conference on Industrial and Information Systems (ICIIS-2025) has been rescheduled to January 16th and 17th, 2026. The conference was initially set to occur on December 5th and 6th, 2025, at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya.

This year's theme is “NEXT-GEN ENGINEERING FOR INDUSTRY 5.0: Innovating Intelligent Systems for a Human-Centric Future.” As we advance from Industry 4.0, which primarily prioritized automation, data, and connectivity, Industry 5.0 underscores the integration of these technologies while placing a stronger emphasis on human values, sustainability, resilience, and enhanced collaboration between humans and machines. Thank you for your understanding and support during this transition.

This theme invites researchers and practitioners to explore how cutting-edge innovations in areas such as artificial intelligence, robotics, VLSI design, embedded systems, and energy systems can be harnessed to create technologies that are not only intelligent and efficient but also adaptive to societal needs and challenges. The conference is organized by the DEEE, University of Peradeniya, in collaboration with IEEE Sri Lanka-Central Region Sub Section, and is technically co-sponsored by IEEE Sri Lanka Section. Over the past twenty (20) years, ICIIS has established itself as the most versatile forum in South Asia, attracting experts from around the world to share new knowledge and expertise among researchers and engineers in academia and industry. Currently, the conference and its proceedings have an h-index of 38 with approximately 10,000 citations, according to Google Scholar metrics. It is expected that ICIIS will continue to grow and serve as a key platform for advancing human knowledge and development.
