The Fast lane of the Future. The Light at the End of the Tunnel.
Optical communication is a rapidly growing field with applications in telecommunications, data networking, and sensing. The Optical Communication Laboratory in DEEE provides students with the opportunity to learn about the fundamentals of optical communication and to gain hands-on experience with the latest technologies.
The laboratory is equipped with a variety of equipment, including optical fiber links, lasers, detectors, and signal processing equipment. Students can use the laboratory to conduct experiments on a variety of topics, such as optical fiber attenuation, dispersion, and noise; optical modulation and demodulation; and optical data transmission. The laboratory is also used for research projects by the faculty and students. Recent research projects have focused on the development of new optical communication technologies for high-speed data transmission, long-distance communication, and underwater communication.
The Optical Communication Laboratory is a valuable resource for students and researchers interested in optical communication. The laboratory provides a unique opportunity to learn about the latest technologies and to conduct cutting-edge research.
