Redefining the Way We Communicate and Connect
The Communication and Information Engineering Laboratory is the DEEE facility where students and researchers can learn about and experiment with the latest technologies in communication, information engineering, Internet-of-Things, etc. The laboratory is typically equipped with a variety of hardware and software, including antenna modeling setups, radar trainer, spectrum and network analyzers, signal generators, and other equipment and experimental setups belonging to other laboratories under this umbrella: RF & Microwave, Optical Communication and PCB Fabrication.
This laboratory is used for a variety of purposes, including, Teaching, Conducting research and, Developing new products and applications in digital communication, RF communications, Antennas, Radar technology, and telecommunication switching. Further, students are given not only a sound theoretical knowledge but also a solid practical experience in microwave technology, optical communication and PCB fabrication as well. Communication laboratories are essential part of the education and research in Electrical and Electronic Engineering field and provide students and researchers with the tools and resources they need to learn about and develop new technologies in communication, IOT and RF & microwave.
CONTRIBUTION TO TEACHING
The CIE laboratory is used for conducting practical classes for students who follow courses related to Communication, RF and Microwave, Wireless and Optical communication, and IOT. Research and Innovation
This laboratory provide facilities for research and development of communication and information engineering and other inter-related areas. As mentioned, the lab has a variety of state-of-the-art equipment and resources that allow students and staff to investigate and design new methodologies and techniques. PCB Fabrication Laboratory
The R&D work of the DEEE is facilitated by a state of the art printed circuit board (PCB) fabrication laboratory and the lab is equipped with a variety of software and hardware resources, including CAD software, 3D printers, and milling machines.
