EE514: Data Communications
To provide knowledge in layered architectures, packet switching and circuit switching used in data communications, functions of different layers and common techniques and algorithms used to implement those functions.
EE518: Digital Communications
To provide understanding of the fundamental concepts in information theory and digital communications in order to equip students with up-to-date knowledge of the techniques used in modern communication systems and the principles underlying their design.
EE522: Telecommunication and Wireless Systems
To provide knowledge required to analyze and design modern telecommunication network with emphasis on optical fibre communications and wireless communication systems.
EE538: Electrical Machines and Drive Systems
To enhance the students’ knowledge on electrical drives through the introduction of power converter based systems and to demonstrate the issues of implementation.
EE539: Nonlinear and Multivariable Systems
At the end of this course students develop the knowledge and understanding of nonlinear and multivariable systems as well as control strategies and techniques available for nonlinear and multivariable systems.
EE552: VLSI Design
To expose students to standard VLSI techniques and build confidence in VLSI design.
