Dr. Nalin Harischandra took part in an annual Consortium meeting organized by Duke University from August 12th to 14th, 2024, as an active member of the "Building Capacity to Improve Air Quality in South Asia: Reducing PM2.5 Through Low-Cost Sensor Network Driven Policy Decisions" project, co-financed by the U.S. State Department and Duke University.
The project implementing partners are university research groups in each of the South Asian countries: Dhaka University (Bangladesh), Sherubtse College (Bhutan), IIT Kanpur (India), Central Department of Environmental Science – Tribhuvan University (Nepal), NUST Islamabad (Pakistan) and University of Peradeniya (Sri Lanka).
The workshop featured experts from the consortium offering a unique platform to establish and strengthen professional relationships and paving the way for future collaborative research projects, joint publications, and potential funding opportunities. This engagement has elevated the visibility and reputation of our university within the global academic community, underscoring our commitment to academic excellence.
