To provide students with necessary skills to carry out, manage and report a piece of project and to provide exposure to advanced design techniques and/or simulation environment and/or practical implementations of circuits.

MAIN TOPICS AND INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES

TOPICS

Introduction to the Project: guide students on how to successfully complete a project
Scheduled working hours: 1) common lectures on technical writing and referencing
Scheduled working hours: 2) methodology
Scheduled working hours: 3) the results in terms of a product output and/or design work and/or field investigation and/or set of laboratory experiments and/or simulation work and/or theoretical study etc.
Consulting Supervisor: weekly meeting with the supervisor(s)

Student will be able to,

ILO1: Apply scientific principles, methods and knowledge to a short research project.
ILO2: Design and/or construct a prototype and/or simulation case and/or case study.
ILO3: Provide a realistic plan of execution to deliver the project within a time.
ILO4: Write a technical report containing a literature review, an evaluation of the given problem and draw conclusions based on the findings.
ILO5: Communicate effectively in a forum.
